Job Description

This role focuses on caring for veteran patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room. The RN will ensure that documentation reflects patient needs assessment, interdisciplinary treatment plans, clinical interventions, and evaluations of patients' responses to treatments. Additionally, the RN will be responsible for assigning and evaluating the work of non-nursing direct care providers present in the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process to care for veteran patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Document patient needs assessments, interdisciplinary treatment plans, and clinical interventions.
• Evaluate patients' responses to treatment and interventions.
• Assign and assess the work of non-nursing direct care providers in the operating room.

Required Experience

Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services and effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS - AHA
• New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
• Preferred: ACLS - AHA, PALS
