Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in the Operating Room (OR) to provide exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate must be able to scrub and circulate on robotics, orthopedics, neurology, and general surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough assessments and deliver patient care appropriate for various age groups from pediatric to geriatric.
• Demonstrate competent clinical skills and provide direct patient care activities.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation in patient charts, including components of the nursing process.
• Exemplify professionalism by adhering to policies and seeking areas for clinical and professional growth.
• Enhance patient satisfaction by responding courteously to patients, families, and co-workers.
• Ensure safety by following National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Protocol, and proper patient identification procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of surgical conditions, procedures, and equipment, tailoring patient care as necessary.
• Contribute to the perioperative team by prioritizing patient care and adapting to changes in patient conditions.
• Conduct pre-operative and post-operative education, engaging patients and family in understanding procedures.
• Evaluate Pre Admission Testing orders for appropriateness and ensure timely patient testing.

Required Experience

Experience in the Operating Room with proficiency in scrubbing and circulating for various surgical specialties is required.

Certifications / Licensure

Valid RN license required.
