Job Description

The Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide care for patients requiring telemetry monitoring and surgical management. The RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care of patients within a Medical-Surgical environment. This includes monitoring vital signs, assisting with diagnostic procedures, and collaborating with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings for patients.
• Administer medications and provide treatment according to prescribed protocols.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Coordinate patient care with other interdisciplinary team members.
• Educate patients and families about their treatment plans and health conditions.
• Document patient care activities and changes in condition.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
• Previous charge experience preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Must have an active Ohio nursing license or a compact state license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
