Schedule/Shift

3x12 Night Shifts, with weekends and holidays as needed. Floating may be required to other Medical/Surgical and Rehabilitation units.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical department at WellSpan Waynesboro Hospital will provide comprehensive medical and surgical care to adult inpatients and outpatients. The department operates 24 hours a day and cares for various patient diagnoses, including medical, surgical, telemetry, and swing bed patients. Candidates must be able to care for COVID patients and work within a tobacco and fragrance-free facility.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care to adults in a Medical Surgical unit.
• Monitor telemetry patients and manage various medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following established protocols.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records using the EPIC system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and social services, to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain licensure and skills.

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, specifically in a Medical Surgical or related setting.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification.
• EPIC experience is required.
