Schedule/Shift

Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend and holiday.

Job Description

The Medical-Surgical unit is a 30-bed department where the Registered Nurse will provide care to patients. This role involves EKG monitoring, IV insertion, medication administration, Foley insertion, vital signs monitoring, assessment documentation, assistance with rapid sequence intubation (RSI), and conducting point-of-care testing such as blood glucose checks. Nurses may also be required to float to other units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Insert IVs and Foley catheters
• Conduct vital sign checks and document findings
• Assist with rapid sequence intubation
• Perform point-of-care testing for blood glucose

Required Experience

• 1-2+ years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience

Certifications/Licensure

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
