Schedule/Shift

Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week; must work 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule.

Job Description

The Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse holds key accountability for providing direct patient care, utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. This position may float between Northwest Medical Center and its affiliated facilities, including Oro Valley Hospital, Northwest Houghton, and Northwest Sahuarita.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assess patient needs across medical-surgical and telemetry departments.
• Utilize critical thinking and scientific judgment to plan and deliver safe patient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and training.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of the staff available.
• Direct and supervise assigned personnel in the delivery of patient care.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Arizona Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
