This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, working 3 days a week with 6 weekend shifts required over a 6-week schedule.

Job Description

The Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The position requires critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in planning for the safe delivery of care. This role also involves maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education and providing direction and supervision of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Float between departments and various facilities including Northwest Medical Center and Oro Valley Hospital.
• Demonstrate leadership while anticipating and planning for safe delivery of care.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff.

Required Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry nursing role.
• Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active Arizona nursing license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
