Schedule/Shift

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care for patients in a Behavioral Health unit. This role involves working with both adult and pediatric populations, focusing primarily on individuals with mood disorders. The position requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, which includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and rapid response teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and develop nursing care plans for patients with behavioral health issues.
• Administer medications and monitor patient progress.
• Document all patient interactions in the Community Hospital's charting system.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in patient education and therapy sessions.
• Adjust care plans as needed based on patient feedback and clinical outcomes.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of behavioral health nursing experience required.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Must hold an active Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania or a compact state.
• Current certifications required: BLS.
• Avade and/or CCM Training is preferred to aid in client management.
