Schedule/Shift

Schedule: 3x12s, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM. This position requires working every other weekend and is not on-call.

Job Description

As a MedSurg RN specializing in renal care, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to adults and geriatrics, focusing on patients with renal-related conditions. The unit is supported by various interdisciplinary teams including IV, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. You will be using Epic for charting and responsible for maintaining high standards of care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support for patients suffering from renal failure.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies as needed.
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Educate patients and families on renal care and disease management.
• Implement isolation precautions and adhere to proper infection control protocols.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience in MedSurg nursing, particularly in a renal unit, is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current South Carolina RN license or valid Compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
