ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical (Day Shift) in Florence, South Carolina.

Schedule/Shift

Shift: 4x12s, Days 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM. Weekend requirement: Yes, every other weekend. On-call requirement: Yes, as needed for low census.

Job Description

The Medical-Surgical unit provides care for adult and geriatric patients with a variety of common diagnoses. The unit has a staffing plan that supports a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6 under normal circumstances; however, in cases of unplanned absences, this may flex to 1:7. The documentation system used is Epic, and interdisciplinary support is available from teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Rapid Response Teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Medical-Surgical unit.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Utilize the Epic charting system for patient documentation.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient care.
• Respond to rapid response situations as needed.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical-Surgical setting.
• First-time travelers are accepted.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current South Carolina RN license or a Compact license is required before the start date.
• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications are preferred.
