ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, MS/Tele-ER Border (Night Shift) in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This position requires working 3x12-hour shifts on nights from 19:30 to 08:00, with every other weekend and holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in this role will provide care in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, primarily focused on MS/Tele and ED border patient care. The average daily census includes a minimum of 10 and up to 40 border patients, requiring proficiency in a wide variety of patient diagnoses, including complex ED admission cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and care to patients within the MS/Tele-ER Border.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Manage patient care including those with complex medical conditions.
• Float as necessary between ED borders and related units within the specialty scope.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team activities and patient care discussions.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience is required.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
• Must have experience with patient ratios of 1:6.
• Travel experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active RN license in Maryland or Compact License is required.
• BLS, ACLS, and CPI certifications are required.
• NIHSS certification is preferred.
