ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Pulmonary (Night Shift) in Baltimore, Maryland.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This position requires working 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend required. The number of weekend shifts may vary based on unit needs.

Job Description

The role involves providing high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a 37-bed Medical-Surgical/Pulmonary unit at LBH Sinai Hospital. The unit manages a diverse range of diagnoses, including respiratory distress, sepsis, urinary tract infections, cellulitis, and general weakness.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including chronic tracheostomy and ventilator care.
• Administer medications and perform nursing procedures as necessary.
• Conduct wound care and manage IV lines and blood products.
• Participate in rapid response and code team actions as needed.
• Document care and patient progress in Cerner.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience is required.
• Experience in a teaching hospital and Level I/II trauma care is preferred.
• Experience with telemetry is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications are preferred.
• A 16-hour Maryland-approved trauma course and TCRN certification are preferred.
• A valid Maryland or compact RN license is required at the time of submission.
