Job Description
The Emergency Department at HCA Houston Northwest is a 50-bed Trauma II center functioning as a Comprehensive Stroke Center (survey pending) and a Chest Pain Center. The unit is recognized for its Pathway to Excellence and is on the Journey to Magnet recognition. The team is committed to providing exceptional care to diverse patient populations with a focus on trauma and emergency procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Perform trauma and emergency procedures as needed.
- Utilize GE Monitors and Belmont Rapid Infuser in patient care.
- Document patient information in the EMR - Meditech system.
Required Experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications are mandatory.
- Prior experience in trauma is preferred.
- Experience with Meditech EMR is a plus.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current RN license.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certification required.
