ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical (Night Shift) in Birmingham, Alabama.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This position requires working Night Shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with alternating weekends.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a Medical-Surgical setting. The nurse will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes, utilizing nursing best practices and adhering to hospital policies and procedures. Documentation will be completed in Cerner.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessments and medication administration.
• Coordinate with physicians and support staff to implement care plans.
• Monitor and document patient progress and condition changes.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions and treatment plans.
• Utilize Cerner for documentation and patient management.

Required Experience

Applicants must have at least 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience. Candidates should also have a permanent address located more than 50 miles from the facility.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
• Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of Alabama or a pending state license will be considered.
