Day Shift - 12 Hour: 07:00 AM to 07:00 PM, with weekends and holidays as assigned.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Behavioral Health will provide care for patients in an inpatient setting, serving a diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, seniors, and patients with high and low acuity needs. The position requires flexibility as the RN will float to various units including adult IDD units and physical rehabilitation units as needed. Candidates will utilize their expertise in managing patient care, conducting assessments, and ensuring safety protocols are met.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient care and interactions accurately in the electronic health record.
• Provide crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing distress.
• Adhere to safety and regulatory standards in all patient interactions.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a psychiatric inpatient setting.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Handle with Care certification or equivalent training in managing behavioral health crises.
