Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, preferred three shifts per week.

Job Description

The Emergency Department at Capital Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This unit features 39 beds and maintains a patient ratio of 1:4. The nurse will support critical emergency procedures and coordinate nursing care with a team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in intubation and life-saving emergency procedures.
• Perform chest tube insertions, moderate sedation, lumbar punctures, laceration repairs, and blood product administration.
• Conduct patient rounding and provide bedside shift reports within 30 minutes to 1 hour.
• Utilize MediTech for documentation and patient data management.
• Collaborate effectively with the unit secretary and tech staff to ensure optimal patient throughput.

Required Experience

• Must have at least 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting.
• Strong multi-tasking skills and teamwork capabilities are essential.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required.
