ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical (Night Shift) in Tyler, Texas.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This position requires working 36 hours per week on nights, including weekends, with floating as needed.

Job Description

The Medical-Surgical unit, 2 West C, has 12 private rooms and 2 semi-private rooms, accommodating a maximum census of 16 patients. This unit focuses on patients with vascular diseases, catering to a broad age range from young adulthood to geriatrics, including medical-surgical and telemetry overflow patients. The unit is capable of telemetry monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor patient vitals.
• Perform and document nursing assessments, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Manage colostomy and ileostomy care, feeding tubes, and blood product administration.
• Start and maintain IVs, including peripheral and PICC line management.
• Provide care for patients undergoing hemodialysis.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary support teams, including respiratory services and physical therapy.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical setting.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Travel experience required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current RN license (state or compact) in hand at the time of submittal.
• Certifications required: BLS, NIHSS.
