Day shift: 3x12 hours (07:00 - 19:00), with weekend coverage required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (MS RN) for a day shift position in a medical-surgical unit focused on patients with vascular disease diagnoses. The unit consists of twelve private rooms and two semi-private rooms, accommodating a maximum of 16 patients ranging from young adulthood to geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical setting.
• Monitor patient vitals and administer medications as required.
• Utilize telemetry capabilities for patients requiring cardiac monitoring.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes.
• Float to other units as necessary based on patient census and staffing needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in the applicable state or compact state.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably with travel experience.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Current certifications in BLS and NIHSS.
• Proficiency in managing various patient care skills including blood product administration, colostomy care, and telemetry monitoring.
