ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (Day Shift) in Lubbock, Texas.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This position involves 3x12 hour shifts, working from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend, with a requirement to work 3 of the 5 holidays.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in a Short Term Acute Care setting, providing care for adult and geriatric patients on a Medical-Surgical and Telemetry unit. Responsibilities include patient monitoring, administering medications, and performing various nursing procedures. The nurse will utilize the Epic charting system and may float to other acute care units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform wound care and assist with patient hygiene and mobility.
• Conduct assessments and develop nursing care plans.
• Document all care and patient information in the Epic system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Medical-Surgical or Telemetry setting.
• Traveler candidates must have completed at least one prior contract.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current RN license in Texas or compact state license.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
