ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical Oncology (Day Shift) in Tallahassee, Florida.

Schedule/Shift

This position requires a schedule of 36 hours and includes every other weekend as needed. The shift is from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Medical Oncology unit will be responsible for providing care to patients undergoing treatment for cancer, including administering inpatient chemotherapy as part of the core nursing staff with proper ONS chemotherapy training. The unit is equipped with electronic whiteboards and utilizes the Meditech documentation system to ensure efficient patient management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hourly rounds on day shift and 2-hour rounds after 9 PM to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
• Administer chemotherapy and other treatments according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with a team that includes unit secretaries, CNAs, Charge RNs, and clinical management.
• Participate in the planning and implementation of patient care plans, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and best practices.

Required Experience

• Active RN license and certification required.
• Experience in a medical oncology or similar clinical setting is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Preferred specialty certifications include Medical-Surgical and Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
