7:00 AM - 7:00 PM; requires 36 hours of work every week and an every-other weekend commitment as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Medical Oncology unit at Capital Regional Medical Center will provide care to patients receiving inpatient chemotherapy and manage a variety of health conditions. The unit consists of 33 beds with a staffing ratio of 1 nurse to 6 patients. The RN will utilize electronic documentation systems and collaborate with a team that includes a charge nurse, clinical manager, and director.

Responsibilities

• Administer and oversee inpatient chemotherapy treatments as per protocols.
• Conduct hourly patient rounds during day shifts and a minimum of 2-hour rounds after 9 PM.
• Utilize Meditech for documentation and patient management.
• Work collaboratively with other nursing staff and healthcare professionals.

Required Experience

• Must have the right attitude to prioritize patient care.
• Prior experience in a medical-surgical or oncology unit is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current RN license in Florida.
• BLS certification required.
• Preferred specialty certification in Medical-Surgical or Oncology Nursing.
