ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical (Night Shift) in Camden, South Carolina.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

3x12-hour shifts, Nights, from 7 PM to 7 AM. Holidays are required, including Thanksgiving or Christmas, pending unit needs. Every other weekend is required.

Job Description

The Medical-Surgical unit consists of 54 beds, providing care to adult and geriatric patients. The unit handles a variety of medical-surgical diagnoses, including COVID-19 cases. The RN will work an average daily census of 24 patients and will be responsible for comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. The RN will document all patient care activities using the Epic electronic health record system, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and monitor patient progress.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Manage IV starts, tele monitoring, and administration of cardiac infusions.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
• Utilize isolation precautions and ensure adherence to infection control protocols.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical-Surgical nursing role.
• Experience with telemetry and cardiac management is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current South Carolina RN license or Compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
