Schedule/Shift

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Minimum of 2 weekend shifts per month.

Job Description

As a Physical Therapist in our Inpatient Rehabilitation department, you will provide exceptional care to patients recovering from various conditions. Your focus will be on assessing patients, developing tailored treatment plans, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to maximize discharge readiness.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and devise appropriate treatment plans.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address barriers to discharge, including equipment trialing and ordering.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families, providing necessary training and home exercise programs.
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient needs.
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner following hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in the student program and provide mentorship as required.
• Engage in professional development to enhance skills and advance career goals.
• Adhere to the State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant setting.
• Prior inpatient rehabilitation experience is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• Must hold a valid and current state license as a Physical Therapist.
