Schedule/Shift

12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30, with weekend shifts required every other week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care for patients in an Ortho-Neuro unit, focusing on elective surgeries such as hips, knees, and shoulders, as well as managing neurological conditions and general MedSurg patients. The unit consists of 33 private rooms. The RN will utilize EPIC for documentation and work alongside Patient Care Technicians to support patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication and manage pain control through PCA pumps.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective treatment planning and delivery.
• Provide patient education and support throughout the surgical and recovery process.

Required Experience

• Must have experience with orthopedic patients.
• Experience with PCA pumps is essential.
• General MedSurg nursing experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS certification required.
• Valid RN license in the state of West Virginia.
