ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical (Day Shift) in Wilson, North Carolina.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with guaranteed hours of 36 each week. Weekend hours required every other week.

Job Description

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical care. The ideal candidate will work on the 3rd and 5th floors of the facility, caring primarily for adult and geriatric patients. Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to provide the best patient-centered care. Experience with the Meditech electronic health record system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a medical-surgical setting.
• Monitor vital signs and administer medications as prescribed.
• Assist with wound care, post-operative care, and patient education.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient care and maintain up-to-date records in Meditech.
• Floating to other departments as needed, including Telemetry and Emergency Department.

Required Experience

Two years of experience in a medical-surgical setting is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse license in North Carolina.
• BLS certification is required.
• NIH Stroke certification preferred.
