Schedule/Shift

36 or 48 hours per week, with a rotating shift schedule that includes days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed.

Job Description

Join our child and adolescent unit focused on patients aged 5-18 experiencing acute mental health crises. We are seeking candidates passionate about pediatric psychiatry to support stabilization through diverse group offerings such as Activities Therapy, Mindfulness, Wellness, and Coping Skills groups, in addition to psychopharmacological interventions. RNs work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve patient goals while ensuring safe, effective, and therapeutic care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and support for pediatric patients experiencing mental health crises.
• Engage patients in group therapy sessions and therapeutic activities.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement care plans.
• Administer psychopharmacological treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately.

Required Experience

• NYS RN License
• Two (2) years of pediatric mental health experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)

Certifications/Licensure

• Current New York State RN License
• BLS (AHA only)
• CPI blue card preferred
