ARMStaffing is looking for an Occupational Therapist, Acute Care (Day Shift) in Walla Walla, Washington.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This position requires rotating weekends, approximately every 3-4 weeks. There are no call requirements, and the schedule consists of Day Shift hours.

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients across various settings, including acute care, medical, ICU, and inpatient rehabilitation. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics with diverse diagnoses such as multi-trauma, spinal cord injuries, stroke, orthopedic conditions, and more. The role will require working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, contributing to patient care and therapy sessions, as well as utilizing the Epic charting system for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients in accordance with established therapy protocols.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Document evaluation and treatment progress using Epic.
• Adapt treatment plans as needed based on patient progress and needs.
• Provide patient and family education regarding care plans and rehabilitation strategies.

Required Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in an acute care setting is required.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations, particularly in rehabilitation, is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Washington State Occupational Therapist license is required.
