ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical (Night Shift) in Henderson, North Carolina.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Night shift from 19:00 to 07:00 with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Weekend hours are as needed.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work in a 48-bed unit specializing in Medical Surgical care. The position will require providing comprehensive patient care, adhering to established protocols and standards. The Electronic Health Record system used is Paragon. The supervisor for this unit is Kimberly Reed.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for a patient population with varied diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Start IVs, insert foley catheters, and place NG tubes.
• Perform EKGs and manage heparin drips.
• Monitor and assess patient progress and report changes in condition.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience with at least 1 travel assignment completed.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current RN license.
• Required certifications: NIH, ACLS, and BLS.
