Nights, 12 hours, 6:42 PM to 7:12 AM, with three weekend shifts per four-week scheduling period (Friday and Saturday).
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will perform a variety of integrated pre and post-operative critical care functions using the nursing process while applying broad nursing knowledge in a caring manner. This position focuses on assessing and addressing patient needs, including physical, emotional, psychosocial, and family support.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient for physical, emotional, psychosocial needs, and family support.
- Organize and coordinate all aspects of patient care according to the patient's real and/or perceived needs.
- Evaluate patient progress by correlating patient information with nursing knowledge to determine if goals are being met according to the patient’s plan of care or clinical path.
- Consult and collaborate with members of the healthcare team in planning and implementing total patient care for individuals.
Required Experience
- 2+ years of SICU experience.
- Active Michigan RN license.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Active American Heart Association ACLS certification.
- LARA and/or Nursys must state active Michigan/MI license.
