Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 12-hour Day shifts, self-scheduling encouraged.
Job Description
This position is for a registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a progressive community hospital. The unit consists of 8 beds with a mixed patient population and open ICU. The goal staffing is 4 RNs 24/7, focusing on high-quality patient care through effective nurse communication and bedside care practices. The hospital is equipped with GE B650 cardiac monitors and ventilators, and utilizes Meditech for documentation.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to a mixed patient population in an open ICU setting.
- Respond to Code Blue and Rapid Response Team calls as ICU RN.
- Administer treatments and perform procedures including ventilator care, therapeutic hypothermia, IABP, and TEE/cardioversion.
- Conduct invasive hemodynamic monitoring and handle acute conditions such as sepsis, stroke, and DKA.
- Engage in hourly rounding and maintain clear communication with patients and their families.
Required Experience
- Medical and Surgical ICU experience.
- Current NH RN license at the time of submission.
- ACLS and BLS certifications.
Certifications/Licensure
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire required.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required; CCRN and AIBP experience preferred.
