ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit (Day Shift) in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

12 shifts per month (3 shifts a week), including 4 weekend shifts per month. Shift times are from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Job Description

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Portsmouth Regional Hospital is a 25-bed unit that provides critical care to patients with severe medical conditions. The unit features a robust team that includes mid-levels, trauma surgeons, and respiratory therapists, ensuring round-the-clock care. The documentation system utilized is Meditech Expanse.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients with a 2:1 ratio, ensuring high-quality critical care.
• Administer medications, including titrating vasoactive and inotrope medications.
• Perform procedures such as intubation, central line, arterial line, and chest tube placements.
• Complete bedside shift reports and update MyCare boards each shift.
• Collaborate with physical and occupational therapists available during the day shift.
• Participate in unit meetings and continuous education for skill advancement.

Required Experience

• Strong Telemetry skills.
• Experience in an ICU setting.
• Chest tube experience.

Certifications/Licensure

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
