Schedule/Shift
Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, working three 12-hour shifts with 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule. Will also consider a 48-hour guarantee.
Job Description
As a PCU/Telemetry Registered Nurse, you will evaluate assigned patients, plan, implement, and document nursing care. You will assist physicians during examinations and procedures, perform various patient tests, and administer medications within the registered nurse's scope of practice. You will promote patient independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and families on their conditions, medications, and self-care skills. This position will involve floating between departments and facilities, including Northwest Medical Center and Oro Valley Hospital among others.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate assigned patients to determine nursing care needs.
- Plan, implement, and document nursing care.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
- Perform various patient tests and administer medications.
- Establish care goals and educate patients and families.
- Float between departments and various facilities as necessary.
Required Experience
2+ years of experience in a similar role.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active Arizona license.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
