ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical (Day Shift) in Nashville, Tennessee.

Schedule/Shift

Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Every other weekend is required (Saturday and Sunday), with flexible weekdays.

Job Description

The Medical-Surgical Unit at Tristar Southern Hills Medical Center features 25 beds with patient ratios of 5-6:1 during the day and 6:1 at night. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care. The unit is equipped with various technologies including Sara Steady, Wound Vac, Tele Health, and remote telemetry systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses using IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing cabinets.
• Perform advanced clinical procedures such as IV and foley catheter placement.
• Participate in hourly rounding and patient experience enhancement initiatives.
• Utilize Meditech for accurate documentation of patient care.
• Float between medical-surgical units as needed.

Required Experience

• Strong assessment skills with previous experience in a medical-surgical setting.
• Familiarity with IV pumps and medication dispensing systems.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS certification required.
• NIH and CPI certifications are preferred.
