ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Med Surg (Night Shift) in Nashville, Tennessee.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday) and flexible weekdays.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in a 25-bed medical-surgical unit with a patient ratio of 5-6:1 during the day and 6:1 at night. The unit is equipped with Sara Steady, Wound Vac, Tele Health, Virtual Sitter equipment, and remote telemetry. The documentation system utilized is Meditech.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and provide quality patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments using IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing cabinets.
• Perform procedures such as IV and Foley catheter placements.
• Engage in hourly rounding and apply BSSR techniques to enhance patient experience.
• Float between medical-surgical units as needed.

Required Experience

• Strong assessment skills.
• Experience with IV pumps and medication dispensing systems.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS certification.
• NIH and CPI certifications preferred.
