Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:00, three shifts per week. Weekend shifts are required.
Job Description
As a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at Centennial Medical Center, you will deliver exceptional care to patients with acute and neuro conditions. The unit has a total of 30 beds, with 22 dedicated to acute care and 8 to a neuro stepdown unit. Your role will involve utilizing advanced equipment and best practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct bedside shift reports and maintain personal connections with patients and their families.
- Participate in daily huddles to discuss patient care and unit updates.
- Administer medications and perform procedures such as lumbar punctures and chest tube placements.
- Utilize the Meditech documentation system to maintain accurate and efficient patient records.
- Collaborate with the nursing team, including assignments of 6:1 on acute care and 4:1 on the neuro stepdown unit.
Required Experience
- Strong nursing skills and time management in acute care settings.
- Preferred experience in neuro stepdown.
- Critical thinking skills and ability to work in high-pressure situations.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current BLS certification for Acute Care.
- ACLS certification required for Neuro Stepdown.
