Job Description

Join our interdisciplinary team in a brand new, state-of-the-art unit, providing care for adult and pediatric patients recovering from brain injuries including oncologic surgery, strokes, falls, and motor vehicle injuries. You will offer clinical and emotional encouragement to patients and their families, aiding in their journey to regain independence. Your role will be pivotal in fostering teamwork, flexibility, enthusiasm, and critical thinking within a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the inpatient rehabilitation setting.
• Support patients emotionally and clinically throughout their recovery journey.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, providing necessary interventions.
• Educate patients and families about recovery processes and skills needed for independence.

Required Experience

• Two (2) years of nursing experience.
• Telemetry experience required.
• Recent pediatric experience.

Certifications/Licensure

• Valid RN License (New York State ONLY).
• BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
• PALS or PEARS certification preferred.
