Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM with a 1-hour lunch; 40 hours per week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in our Physician Practice setting will provide professional nursing care while supporting Healthcare Providers and office staff to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care. This role encompasses various responsibilities including clinical care, triaging patients, and facilitating care transitions while adhering to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Triages and assesses patients, both in-person and via telephone.
• Conducts patient intake including history, vital signs, and health screenings.
• Administers medications and immunizations as ordered.
• Assists providers with examinations, minor procedures, and diagnostic testing.
• Performs wound care, dressing changes, and specimen collection.
• Educates patients and their support system on treatment plans and preventative care.
• Communicates test results and care instructions to patients.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Documents all patient interactions in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Ensures compliance with all relevant regulatory and quality standards.
• Supports and mentors Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Medical Office Assistants (MOAs).
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.

Required Experience

At least one year of experience in an acute care or ambulatory care setting is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current New York State RN License.
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
