ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Neuro Stepdown & EMU (Night Shift) in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Schedule/Shift

Shifts are 12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, working three nights per week, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care for higher acuity neuroscience patients in a step-down unit and an epilepsy monitoring unit. This position requires strong neuro experience and familiarity with the care of stroke patients, including the use of NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS). The nurse will utilize EPIC for documentation and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient care. In this role, the RN may be expected to manage certain aspects of care in adherence to physician orders and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients with neurological conditions, including stroke and epilepsy.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions.
• Document patient data and care activities following EPIC guidelines.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Assist in managing higher acuity patients, including those requiring EVD care.
• Participate in educational opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Experience

• Strong neuro nursing experience with a history of caring for stroke patients.
• Experience in a stepdown or telemetry unit is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Valid RN license in the state of West Virginia.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications are required; ACLS preferred.
