ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (Evening Shift) in Plattsburgh, New York.

Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
Shifts are available from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, as well as 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM. There is a requirement for weekend shifts, with holiday obligations but no call requirements. Self-scheduling is available.
Job Description
The Emergency Department (ED) at the facility handles both adult and pediatric patients with a diverse range of emergencies. The ED consists of 29 beds, including specialty beds for behavioral health and fast track services. RNs in this unit are expected to manage a busy environment efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Care for adult and pediatric patients in the Emergency Department.
- Manage drips and initiate IVs; perform EKGs, and provide respiratory treatments.
- Support psychiatric patients in a designated behavioral health unit.
- Assist with Boarded patients, and ensure a high level of patient care in a fast-paced environment.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including crisis clinicians and advanced practice providers.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in an Emergency Department setting.
- Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active New York State RN license or proof of application.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS.
- TNCC certification must be active or proof of attendance prior to start date.
