12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:00) with weekend and holiday requirements.

Job Description

This position is for a Level III Trauma Center requiring a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. The environment will involve a high patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:9, providing critical care in an acute care setting. RNs will be expected to participate in department-specific orientation and competency exams to ensure adherence to standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
• Administer medications and perform treatments based on competency assessments.
• Participate in required exams, including medication and dysrhythmia tests.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current New York State RN License.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
• BLS (Basic Life Support).
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
• NIHSS Certification (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale).
