This position requires night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit will provide comprehensive care to patients with varying medical conditions. Responsibilities include monitoring patient vital signs, administering medications, coordinating patient care, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and advocacy.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting any changes as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record system.

Required Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of 12 months of permanent Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience. Previous charge experience is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active Ohio nursing license or compact state license required at the time of submission.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
