Assignment Duration

This is an 8-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

The position involves 12-hour shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM, including every other weekend starting October 30, 2026. There may be instances where a shift may start at 10 PM.

Job Description

The Medical Technologist will perform generalist laboratory work including phlebotomy, chemistry, blood bank, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and micro plating (excluding reading of micro plates).

Responsibilities

• Conduct general laboratory tests in various disciplines, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures as needed, especially when no phlebotomist is available after 6 PM.
• Utilize laboratory instrumentation including LIS Cerner Millennium and various analyzers such as Abbott Allinity ci and Sysmex.
• Follow established protocols for quality assurance and controls, specimen preparation, and reporting test results.

Required Experience

• Bachelor of Science degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in a laboratory setting.
• Previous charge experience and patient ratio experience preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current ASCP certification required.
