ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical (Night Shift) in Hilo, Hawaii.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

12-hour shifts - Night (1845 to 0715) - Scheduled 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. No guarantee of hours.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will float between various medical and surgical units including the Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and occasionally the Cardiovascular Unit. Key responsibilities include delivering direct patient care, monitoring patient status, and providing interventions as needed. The Nurse will utilize Meditech EMR and prepare patients for various procedures, including wound care and chest tube management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients across multiple units.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, ensuring timely interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as per the care plan.
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech EMR.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience

2-10 years of experience in a nursing role, with a strong background in medical-surgical nursing preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active Hawaii RN license is required prior to starting the assignment.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS.
• Preferred certifications: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC.
