ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical (Night Shift) in Hilo, Hawaii.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

12-hour Night shifts from 1845 to 0715, scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. No guarantee of hours.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will float between various medical and surgical units, including the Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and occasionally the Cardiovascular Unit. Responsibilities will include utilizing the Meditech electronic medical record system, managing pyxis medication dispensing, and providing care for patients with chest tubes and wound vacs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with established protocols.
• Float between different units as needed to assist with patient care.
• Document patient information using Meditech EMR.
• Manage medications and supplies using pyxis.
• Assist in the care and maintenance of chest tubes and wound vacs.

Required Experience

2-10 years of relevant nursing experience required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active RN license in the State of Hawaii is required by the start of the assignment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
• Additional certifications such as PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC are preferred.
