ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical (Night Shift) in Nashville, Tennessee.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

3 12-hour shifts per week; 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with 2 weekend shifts (4 shifts) within a 4-week schedule.

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical unit, you will provide essential care to patients with neurological conditions. The unit consists of 20 beds and maintains a patient ratio of 6:1. You will utilize equipment such as IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse oximetry machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, and bladder scanners. The documentation system used is Meditech.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and their families.
• Engage in bedside shift reporting to enhance communication.
• Ensure patient involvement in their care plans.
• Perform basic nursing tasks including starting IVs, wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains and tubes.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to prioritize patient care and multitask effectively.

Required Experience

• Active RN license.
• BLS certification.
• Med/Surg experience preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active RN license.
• BLS certification required.
