ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical (Night Shift) in Rochester, New York.

Schedule/Shift

The schedule is 36 or 48 hours per week, working straight nights, including weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed by the unit.

Job Description

This position is for the 4-1200 unit, providing care for patients aged 18 and up with intensive symptom management needs at the end of life. The role requires strong IV skills, wound care skills, and compassion to manage complex patient needs and family crises. Candidates must possess astute assessment skills to advocate for patients who may not be able to communicate their needs. The unit also handles general medicine overflow.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex health conditions.
• Perform a variety of procedures including wound care and IV therapy.
• Advocate for patients' needs through astute assessment and effective communication.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care.

Required Experience

• Two years of recent experience in palliative care or acute medical-surgical nursing.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current New York State Registered Nurse license is required.
• Experience with patient-controlled analgesia pumps or CHPN certification is highly desired.
