12-hour shifts, 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM, will be required for this position. Guaranteed 36 hours per week.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Float Pool will provide care across all PCU/IMCU floors, primarily caring for a cardiac population. This role involves management of patients experiencing STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, and chest pain, and will require proficiency in administering cardiac drips such as Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors. Additionally, the RN may also be assigned to telemetry beds in lower acuity sections as necessary. EPIC EMR will be utilized for documentation.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to a diverse cardiac population in the PCU/IMCU.
- Administer medications and monitor cardiac drips accurately.
- Document care and patient responses meticulously using EPIC EMR.
- Floating to telemetry beds within the same unit as needed.
Required Experience
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar-sized facility is required.
Certifications/Licensure
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required.
