ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Cardiopulmonary (Night Shift) in Bridgeport, West Virginia.

Schedule/Shift

12-hour shifts, 7 PM to 7 AM, with every-other-weekend commitments.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Cardiopulmonary unit will care for patients with various cardiac and respiratory conditions. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, managing cardiac drips, and providing post-operative care in a stepdown setting. Nurses will utilize Phillips telemetry monitors and are expected to read and interpret cardiac strips. The unit features 29 beds, mostly private rooms, and a supportive environment with RT managing CPAP and BiPap equipment.

Responsibilities

• Care for cardiac patients, including those with CR bands, post cardiac catheterization, AMI, and post-operative lung surgeries.
• Monitor and titrate IV drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Integrelin, Heparin, Ativan, Lasix, and Nitro.
• Manage CPAP and BiPap with respiratory therapy support.
• Read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips.
• Work alongside a charge nurse, ensuring patient care is upheld and followed according to protocols.
• Collaborate with CNAs for patient assistance and care.

Required Experience

All candidates must have previous experience in a telemetry setting and ability to titrate cardiac drips.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Active RN license in West Virginia.
