Schedule/Shift

Shifts available are Day (07:00 - 19:00) and Night (19:00 - 07:00), typically in a 4x12 hour format. Weekends are required with a typical expectation of every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in a high-acuity adult Emergency Department, serving as a regional referral center for trauma, cardiac, and stroke care. The RN will be involved in critical decisions regarding STEMI, stroke, and trauma care delivery to definitive services. The facility sees around 175 visits per day and handles 50 ambulance presentations daily.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Manage patients with complex medical issues, including continuous IV sedation and ICP monitoring.
• Perform triage and provide immediate care in urgent situations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams.
• Document patient care and treatment in Epic, the preferred charting system.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department nursing.
• Charge experience preferred.
• Preferred experience in Level I Trauma Center settings and travel nursing.

Certifications/Licensure

• Valid RN license (compact license must be in hand at submission).
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications are required.
