12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15, with a requirement to work every other weekend.
Job Description
The Labor and Delivery unit is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care for obstetric patients. The unit handles patients who are 14 weeks and above pregnant and includes triage, labor and delivery, and recovery services. You will be involved in labor inductions, managing multiple drips, and caring for patients with complex conditions such as preeclampsia and postpartum hemorrhages. The unit also features 21 beds/rooms and operates with a patient ratio of 1:2.
Responsibilities
- Circulate in the operating room for C-sections.
- Administer epidural anesthesia and manage multiple IV drips including Pitocin and magnesium sulfate.
- Provide care for preterm and multiple gestation pregnancies.
- Conduct triage assessments for obstetrical patients.
- Document patient care using the EPIC charting system.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
- Must have experience recovering C-sections and working with high-risk obstetrical patients.
- EPIC experience required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current BCLS certification.
- AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced certification.
- NRP certification required.
